The Omega VRT330 Dual-Stage Juicer is an efficient juicer that allows me to make juices out of virtually everything. This is a masticating juice extractor with a 2-horsepower equivalent single phase motor that lets me extract juice from the toughest fruits. I also like other features such as the dual juicing system that allows me to squeeze all the juices out with very little waste, as well as auto pulp ejection for hassle-free and continuous juicing. Other features include reverse mode, slow rotation speed of 80 RPMs, and various accessories like the fine and coarse dual-stage screens.
Pros
The first thing I liked about this machine is the sturdy construction. There is nothing flimsy about this juicer, from the top cap to the screens. I also liked the fact that it was a little bit on the heavy side, since this lessens the vibrations considerably. I like how the juicer runs, very quiet and fast, despite the fact that it says it runs on an 80 RPM speed. It helps for better processing if you cut up the fruits so that the machine can process faster without using up a lot of power. I also liked how the pulp comes out dry from the machine. The juice comes out of the spout at the end of the machine, while the pulp exits through the bottom of the unit.
The self-cleaning feature of the machine is also a Godsend. I simply add a little bit of water after juicing and the water rinses off the remnants. I also like the quality of the juice. No plastic taste like some of the juice extractors I have used. The fruit juices are crisp and fresh, no aftertaste whatsoever.
Cons
My only complaint is that after a few uses the machine tends to expel pulp with the juice. Although a little bit of pulp can be good, sometimes you just want juice with no pulp. It seems like this problem is caused by a defective auger, so you might want to have the auger replaced if you still have the warranty. Some friends who also gave juicer reviews of this model also encountered problems with faulty parts such as the locking mechanism and the basket assembly. Thankfully, my auger problem was solved when Omega sent me a new unit to replace the defective one.
The Omega VRT330 Dual-Stage Juicer is a good option for those who want fresh juice in the morning. The machine is quiet, and the entire process is efficient. You will not feel like there is anything put to waste with this juicer.
