The efficient Omega VRT350 Juicer offers results that many top of the line products claim to offer. I have tried several brands over the past decade. Some models offer decent results but fail to live up to the product claims. This model does what it says it will do. I can make tasty drinks every time, regardless of the types of fruits and vegetables I want to put in the mix.
Pros:
There are many features on this model that make juicing faster and easier than with other models. The feeding tube is wider, so fruits and vegetables do not need to be cut up as small. An average sized apple, for example, does not need to be cut in half. Larger fruits like Mango and Pineapple will require some cutting and preparation.
The juice extractor does a good job with fruits like berries and grapes that have softer skins. Many products I have used have a hard time with the softer fruits. This machine does a good job of grinding them into a dry pulp.
The pulp is drier than with other models I have used. This means I'm getting more of the nutrients from the fruit and vegetables and more liquid drink to enjoy.
What I like about the machine is that it comes with a device that keeps the filter clean so there is less clogging of the filter. This means more juice flows through and I do not need to stop and clean the filter.
The machine is fast. I don't have to wait for 20 minutes for a very large glass of juice. I sometimes prefer to drink 16 to 20 ounces at one time. I will often make some extra and store it in the refrigerator for later. It doesn't take much time at all to make a little extra.
Cons:
What I don't like about the machine is that I have no control over the amount of foam I get with the juice. Sometimes I prefer to have some but there are times when I would rather not have all the foam on top. This is remedied by skimming the foam off the top of the juice.
Sometimes I get a little too much pulp with the liquid. I like a little pulp and I realize the fiber is good for me. At times the amount of pulp is just too much.
Overall the Omega juicer works at stated. It allows me to make plenty of drink in a short time. There is less preparation of fruits and vegetables than with other models and the machine works more efficiently with dryer pulp in smaller amounts than with other models I have tried.
