Sage Gluten Free Pie Crust Recipe

Vegan, no refined sugar

This is a simple, plant based pie crust that can be used for sweet or savory applications. The crust itself is savory and contains no sweeteners at all. It is easy to prepare and I think you will love its versatility! I used Jovial Gluten Free Pastry Flour for this recipe.

Ingredients Needed for Sage Gluten Free Pie Crust Recipe

1 1/3 cups gluten free pastry or all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 cup Earth Balance
1/4 cup cold water

How to Prepare Sage Gluten Free Pie Crust Recipe

Combine all of the dry ingredients in a medium-sized bowl
Mix in chunks of the Earth Balance, evenly distributing with your hands
When you have all the Earth Balance mixed into the flour, start to add the water
Make sure the water is cold!
Add one tablespoon at a time as you mix it in with your hands, until you have a dough
Do not overwork the dough!
Put the dough on a piece of parchment paper and shape into a disc
Store in the refrigerator until ready for use
