The Jack Lalanne’s JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe Stainless-Steel Electric Juicer Review

Jack LaLanne JuicerJuicing can be an integral part of building or rebuilding one’s health and vitality. Fresh juice made from organic fruits and vegetables is about as healthy as it gets. The benefits are astounding. Transform a pound of produce into a glass of drinkable juice, preserving all of the vital nutrients contained in the fruits and vegetables you use. My husband and I call it health in a glass.

The Jack LaLanne name is synonymous with good health. But does the product live up to the man? I tried the JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe and while I was not blown away with the performance of this fairly pricey machine, I did find it to be a solid performer and attractive unit.

The Jack LaLanne JLSS is equipped with a 3,600 RPM induction motor which provides a fair amount of power for maximum juice extraction. Its stainless steel basket (surgical quality) makes it easy to produce a hearty glass of freshly pressed vegetable juice in minutes. Its patented extraction technology preserves the vital nutrients contained within.

I am one who does not like to spend a lot of time preparing my juice. I don’t want to have to cut up and chop produce in order to fit it in the machine. A nice feature of this juicer is its extra-large round feeding tube. This makes it simple to insert whole fruits and vegetables down the chute. The food pusher will push the produce down into the basket dispensing fresh, delicious juice. The centrifugal force of the patented extraction technology provides 30% more juice than competing brands according to the manufacturer.

I have found another nice feature of the Jack LaLanne JLSS Power Juicer Deluxe Stainless-Steel Electric Juicer to be the oversized pulp container which catches all of the pulp produced from juicing. The container captures pulp for neat and clean disposal and cleaning. If you get real adventurous you can use the pulp as the base for soups and other foods. It is finely chopped and ready to go! I have made veggie burgers, soup stock and vegetable croquettes using the leftover pulp from the juicer. It is a green, cost-efficient use of all of the parts of the vegetables you use.

Some juicers are very noisy in operation. Not this unit. It is quiet and won’t rumble the entire house like some other juicers I have used.

For an efficient, well working juicer that won’t clog and is easy to clean, the JLSS is a solid purchase. With an approximately $90 price tag, it is middle of the road as far as pricing goes. You can find less expensive options that may perform similarly but are not stainless steel. Of course, there are always more upscale more expensive units with more features as well. But, for a simple, solid investment you will be happy with this juicer.
