Makes about 8 oz
Prep Time: 5 minutes (plus 4 hours soaking time for cashews)
I was looking for a creamy dressing to use not only on salads, but on sandwiches as well. This cheezy vegan ranch dressing is multipurpose, easy and delicious. I scoured the internet for various ranch dressing recipes. I compiled, snipped, swapped, added, cleaned up and veganized a few of the recipes that I found and viola – here is my version! This is a super simple recipe for Cheezy Vegan Ranch Dressing!
You don’t absolutely need to soak the cashews, but I think they come out creamier if they are soaked for at least a few hours. They don’t have a strong flavor so they work well in so many applications where you need to add smoothness to your outcome. You can shortcut the soaking time by using boiling hot water instead of cold. Then you can cut the soaking time down to about 10 minutes or so. It works in a pinch!
Let me know what you think of this recipe! I will be using this to dress up my salads, baked potatoes, sandwiches and anything else I can think of!
