Ripe avocado can be used in so many different ways. Here, it adds the creaminess you want to experience in a rich, Vegan Caesar salad dressing. In place of harmful dairy Caesar salad, this vegan version is full of vitamins, protein and minerals. Avocado is the foundation of this recipe. It is rich in nutrients. This article points out some of the benefits you will enjoy when eating this nutritious fruit.
The dulse in this recipe adds what anchovy would in the original fishy, dairy laden version of Caesar salad dressing. But like with most vegan versions, the substitute is much healthier than the original. The only sweetener in this recipe comes from the single date that is added for a touch of sweetness. You don’t need refined sugar to add a little sweet to your cooking.
I have found so many ways to substitute sugar that are better for me and are low glycemic. From Stevia to dates, there are options. Don’t assume that because something does not contain sugar it won’t taste good. We have been so programmed to eat sugar-laden foods. The truth is that food manufacturers sneak sugar into their products as much as they can.
Sugar is additive. And, if the food you are consuming has an addictive property, guess what, you are going to crave that food. That is what the manufacturers count on. Once you are addicted, you will come back for more. Let’s break that pattern and eat more naturally. Your body will be so grateful that you did. Not only does sugar cause weight retention, but it is also a leading cause for Type 2 Diabetes, which afflicts so many people young and old. We are making ourselves sick with our dietary choices. Eating clean and pure is one way to empower yourself and gain back control of your health and weight.
