With cooking, some things are just better when you keep it simple. That is certainly true of this super simple salad dressing recipe. I took my Grandmother’s basic staple dressing, and added some more nutrition to it and viola! This salad dressing is super light, refreshing and tastes so good.

Why Dulse Flakes?
Dulse is a type of seaweed. It is a great source of vitamins, minerals, protein, antioxidants and fiber. It also adds a little taste of the sea to your foods. What is Gomasio?
Gomasio is a seasoning rich in sesame seeds. There are a few blends of Gomasio. I have used the black and golden sesame version as well as the golden sesame version. They add some nutritional value to whatever you chose to put it in. Sesame seeds are rich in magnesium and some amino acids. This salad dressing recipe is also great as a marinade. You can use it to marinade veggies before you grill them. It adds a great flavor to any food to which you add it. But, my favorite application is as a salad dressing. Salad is such a generic term! There are so many variations you can put together and call it a salad. From pasta to greens to fruit. The possibilities are endless. I have never tried this salad dressing recipe with fruit, not sure how that might taste, but any form of vegetable or even pasta salad would be fantastic with this simple, light dressing.

With only a few ingredients, you can put this together in a flash. Preparation is simply mixing the ingredients together and then pouring it over your salad or veggies of choice.

Ingredients Needed for Super Simple Salad Dressing

For about 4 servings of salad (two in my house!)

  • ¼ cup 365 extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 TBS Fine white balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon Hain Iodized Sea Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon Maine Coast Dulse Granules
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Eden Seaweed Gomasio

How to Prepare this Super Simple Salad Dressing

Mix all ingredients together and pour over your favorite salad. Mix well to distribute the dressing evenly. Enjoy!
